AFS Gives Back on #GivingTuesday
11.28.16 #GivingTuesday Is Tomorrow!
We have a little over 24 hours remaining in our campaign to raise funds for Basic Rights Oregon in support of LGBTQ equality, and we have almost reached our goal! We are so proud of the AFS community coming together to support this organization and all of the important work they do. AFS will match contributions up to $1000 up until 5:00pm PST tomorrow, #GivingTuesday. If you have been wanting to donate, best to get in your contribution now!
Meanwhile, members of the AFS staff are rounding up our final donations to deliver to Mother & Child Education Center tomorrow! There are already several tubs of clothes, toys, and baby supplies waiting to be dropped off. Thanks to everyone for your support of parents, newborns and children needing assistance!
11.14.16 The Time is Now
Today, AFS reached out to the members of our AFS family to urgently donate to Basic Rights Oregon. The change in American leadership last week has sparked an immediate need for actions to support the LGBTQ community. Basic Rights Oregon has a proven track record of supporting LGBTQ rights by shaping and improving public policy. Donating is simple (use the green box to the right), and your contribution will be matched up to our first $1000. Your donation will go directly to the Basic Rights Oregon Education Fund and is fully tax-deductible.

We are now live with our donation page for Basic Rights Oregon! Please consider making a contribution of any amount by visiting https://www.razoo.com/us/story/Afs-Gives or selecting your donation amount to the right and clicking "Donate Now." Even the smallest donation gets us one step closer to our $1000 goal! AFS will match funds up to $1000 so know that your contributions will count for double their amount until we hit our goal. No amount is too small!
10.31.16 Welcome to #GivingTuesday with AFS!
All Families Surrogacy will participate in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that takes place on November 29. Last year, more than 45,000 organizations in 71 different countries celebrated #GivingTuesday by donating money, goods, or time to a cause or community of their choosing.
This year, All Families Surrogacy is joining the movement; and we invite you to join us as we reach out to two organizations in Oregon this #GivingTuesday:
1) Mother & Child Education Center - www.momchildpdx.org
This non-profit based in Portland provides emergency supplies and services to parents in need at no cost. Services include free pregnancy testing, parent counseling, and a 24/7 crisis line. They also provide clothes for pregnant and nursing mothers, as well as supplies for babies and young children. We are organizing a drive to provide many of these necessities to Mother & Child Education Center.
2) Basic Rights Oregon - www.basicrights.org
As the largest organization in Oregon serving the LGBTQ community, Basic Rights Oregon works to ensure equality through public policy. For 20 years, they have battled anti-gay ballot measures within the state; last year, Oregon was recognized as the second-most LGBTQ-friendly state in the nation, in part due to legislative victories championed by Basic Rights Oregon. AFS is committed to making a financial contribution to this organization on #GivingTuesday by matching up to the first $1000 in donations collected by our strong community.
