What do you do at AFS and what do you love most about your position?

I'm the Surrogate Coordinator for AFS and I absolutely love my job! What I love most is being able to support our surrogates from the beginning to the end of their journey. I enjoy being their go-to person if they need anything and just being a part of their experience; as an experienced surrogate myself, it's truly an honor. Another favorite part of my position is being able to meet the babies, the new parents and their surrogate at the hospital after the baby is born. It all comes full circle once you get to see the family together for the first time.

Where were you born and raised? What brought you to Portland, Oregon?

I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. We were living in Arizona for 4 years and took a mini weekend vacation to Portland in the summer of 2011. We instantly fell in love and knew that we wanted to raise our family here. We love the rain, fresh air and all the green around us.

I met my husband, Brandon on Myspace :) We have three beautiful children ages 6, 4, and 2 years old.

How would you describe yourself?

I am kindhearted, generous, open-minded, compassionate, and perfectly imperfect. I strive to do my best in everything that I do. I love to smile and laugh - those are both my favorite.

If you could posses one super-human power, what would it be?

If I could have one super-human power, it would be to fly. Flying above everything would be so freeing and being able to see the world in a different perspective would be an amazing experience. Plus, I'd love to take a quick flight to the Bahamas for a vacation. How cool would that be?!
